If you follow Chapter 3 Ministries (C3M) on Facebook, you may have noticed some changes recently. The name of C3M’s Facebook page has been updated to include my future pen name: S. K. Lareau.

Along with the addition of my name, I also changed the page’s profile picture. It used to be C3M’s “logo”. I like it a lot, but it made sense to replace it with my picture since I added my name.

If you follow my account on X, you might have noticed that I changed my name and profile picture there too. I also updated my profile picture here on my website. The last one was from 2021!

These changes were made with a look to the future. Lord willing, if my novel is finished and published, I’d like there to be some name recognition in place. I didn’t what you to have to ask – who in the world is this author S.K. Lareau??

It’s me!

Also… I started a new Instagram account! I’ve never had one before.

This was done to help extend the reach of Chapter 3 Ministries and to join the writing community there. I understand it can be a good place for inspiring authors to connect with other writers and authors. There are also people in the publishing industry and of course, readers! #bookstagram #bookbooksbooks

I don’t know if it will work out well, but I’m going to give it a try.

My posting there will be split into three main categories.

First, there will, of course, be posts related to Chapter 3 Ministries. These posts will be related to the topics that I been writing about for over ten years here and on my other social media accounts: marriage, apologetics, and the Christian life! And, there will be more. As my About Page says:

“Marriage and apologetics are the two main topics addressed here, but not the only ones. Chapter 3 Ministries reaches beyond them. We cannot limit our Christian experience to one or two things. There is so much in Christ to love and learn about!”

Expect posts about loving our husbands, submission, respect, loving our children, living godly, discernment, false teachers, Bible study and resources, Bible verses and trivia, and homeschooling. Since Instagram lends itself to visual content, I’d also like to post about home related things like interior decorating, food, and gardens!

There will also be posts related to my upcoming novel and writing in general. My novel can best be described as a soul-touching biblical allegory with a strong gospel message. I know, that doesn’t reveal much, but it’s too early! Trust me, I want to let it all out, but it’s better to wait. I plan to post sneak peaks, concept art, grammar and writing tips, behind the scenes, progress updates, and more. Some of this content won’t be posted here on my website or on my other social media accounts as it’s not the best fit.

And finally, I’m looking forward to occasionally posting about my life and other interests. Some of these interests include antiques, castles, flowers, AI, robots, motorcycles, and old and new weapons. Yup, I like robots, motorcycles, and weapons. A woman can be feminine and still have “guy” interests. Do you share any of these interests? Or maybe, are you are writer or an author?

I’ve started posting on Instagram, but as of this moment, I’m not following anyone and I don’t have any followers! Do you have an account? Would you consider helping my account get some traction and follow me there? If you’d like, I will follow you back. (Update: I noticed that some accounts are private. Not sure what to do in those cases. Please make suggestions in the comments below. I’ve been following back, but just ignore the request if you want. No worries!)

You can leave your handle in the comments below or just come on over to my account.

@sk_lareau

I’m still learning the ropes, but so far, Instagram has been fun. I enjoy making content for it. It’s a whole new world for my creative side. It’s almost too much fun. I need to make sure that it doesn’t take me away from my writing too often and watch that I don’t spread myself too thin!

Hope to see you over there! Thank you!

Sharon
