They walk in the darkness, in a Dark Land, on paths long and crooked and oh so slippery. Stumbling. Always stumbling. Over what? They don’t know. They can’t see it. The darkness, it’s too thick. It blinds them, but they don’t want to look down anyway. They want to continue; and so they do, stumbling, staggering, groping in the dark.
The printed text in our Bibles may look ordinary, but the Scriptures are supernatural. God’s word, a sword like no other, can pierce the division of soul and spirit and judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. That’s supernatural and terrifying and awesome. The following was written by our eighteen year old son. I asked him if I could share it, and he graciously said yes. It’s sweet and touching. I like that it contains ideas that seems to be fading from today’s culture. I love that his heart leans towards doing well and honoring and cherishing a lady. I praise God for the gentleman our son is becoming.
